Happy new year, everyone! Hope you all enjoyed your break!
Well, now that we're getting back into the swing of things, I wanted to clear some things up and shoot out a few general reminders.
Officers: because we did not have school on Tuesday, and thus had to skip the officers meeting, we are rescheduling that meeting for Tuesday, February 4th--same Bat time, same Bat channel (for those of you who didn't understand the 60's Batman reference, it will be at 6:30 in Mrs. Fleming's room).
Members: We will have our member's meeting on January 14th at 2:20, wear your shirts to school!
Future Members: The informational meeting for new NHS members is February 4th, after school in the cafeteria, and the applications will be due on February 24th.

Hey guys!
So it's been a while since I posted on here, but I wanted to update a few things:
1) If you guys have any forms that need to be put up here, just email them to pchsnhs11@gmail.com
2) Our next member meeting is November 5-- wear your t-shirts, and light up the school with yellow!
3) Anything that you guys want a lot of people to know about can go up here; again, just email.
Thanks guys!
Here's a cool quote I found to sign off with:

Sign- up Sheet
Hi everyone!
We now have a way to electronically sign up for volunteering events under the tab "Volunteer Sign- up Sheet" and I will daily update the results under the "Volunteers" tab. The clipboards are still being used for signing up but we are trying to make everything electric.
Hope this helps!

Handbook reminder!
Hey guys!
Just a quick reminder - be sure to turn your NHS handbooks ASAP to the Senior Center office!
Next year's members need them, so do them a favor and hand `em in as soon as you can!
Thanks!

It's been a while!
Hey guys! It`s been a while since I last updated the site.
Just a few things:
1.) Make sure you check your emails often! Ms. Courter, Ms. Decker, and the officers have many projects, fundraisers, events, and service opportunities that need student assistance! Not only will you gain service hours from helping out, but you'll meet new people, help out the community, be a mentor to others, and have some great experiences along the way.
2.) Also, be aware of our meeting dates! Meetings are only once a month, so do your part and come to them! If you can't, don't forget your explanation and your $1 fine! Here is the list of our meeting dates, in case you forgot!
3.) Your final service hours will be collected before the induction ceremony! Make sure you have your 15 hours of community service, and 15 hours of in-school service completed by then! If you need an hour sheet, please click here to get one!
4.) Finally, remember that the induction ceremony for the 2012-2013 National Honors Society is on May 4th! Make sure you talk to Ms. Courter or Ms. Decker to see how you can assist with the ceremony! Remember, everyone has to help out!
Thanks for reading guys! See you at the next meeting!

Force Wrestling Club 12/11/11 event
I am contacting you on behalf of Force Wrestling Club. Force will be hosting a large tournament on December 11, 2011 at Plainfield East High School. We are looking for volunteers to help work concessions and table workers for this event. If any of your students need service hours and would like to help, please have them contact me. The event will begin at 6:00 am and should be finished by 3:00pm if not earlier. They can work all day if they would like or just a couple of hours! Any help would be greatly appreciated.
We look forward to hearing from your students! And thank you in advance for your help in this matter!
